WHY I’M RUNNING
As a mom, the future I see for my boys is sharply focused. My vision and where Oklahoma is today don’t match.
Oklahoma falls near the bottom in education. And our already poor school funding is being diluted by policies like vouchers and religious charter schools that take money away from the public schools. That’s not OK with me.
But that’s just one reason I am running for the House seat in District 68 in Oklahoma.
I believe my education, my life experiences, and my skill in speaking out for people who need a voice are critical today. Many of our politicians are too focused on culture wars and fear-mongering instead of the people and good policy.
When I served in Afghanistan, I was inspired by the Afghan women I met - willing to give their lives for a chance at education and careers for girls. I dedicate my continued service to those who no longer can.
I am running to leave behind a better Oklahoma than the one we inherited - for my kids and ALL Oklahoma children.
